One day a stranger trespassed the boundary, putting his foot in a territory that had been forbidden until that moment, challenging severe laws and ruthless punishments.
The war broke out and years of bitter conflicts rived the country. No battle was ever won by one of the arrays. The more the conflict became atrocious, the more the defeats augmented. No reinforcements of the army, nor ingenious strategies of defence and attack could save neither the invader nor the invaded.
All of them were defeated. Only a few survivors remained, thrown to the ground like old dirty rags. The sky was black with smoke, the earth was muddy and desolate. Even the boundary didn't exist anymore. It had dissolved under the blows of the battles, the last mockery of this war that had erased the cause of its bursting.
Why had they fought? Why if the cause of it all didn't exist anymore?
They looked at the horizon, the last boundary that remained, and understood that not even it could be considered as such.
The step had been made, and not only did it bring death and destruction, but also change and rebirth.
The impudent invader had had the courage to challenge that imaginary boundary and knock it down, to say no, and in that negation imply the power of a yes.
The sky finally coloured with indigo.
